I’m be interested in changing the name of the theme. I plan on using it with the Runway framework and plan to make significant changes to the theme; but using GoExplore as a basis for the new theme.

Normally, you should be able to just change the folder name for the theme and modify the style.css with new information; though it seems that Runway assigns an ID to the theme and so we’re presented with a dialog asking if we want to generate a new ID. It advised me that if I was just renaming the theme, to just keep the same ID. After I did that however, there were incompatibilities with the destination plugin which broke the site. Needed to start from scratch.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Hoping to bump this to get visibility. I was sent here from the GoExplore forums by a staff member thinking this would be the place to ask my questions. Please let me know if there is a more appropriate place for this question.

    Thanks.

It should be no problem to change the theme name. I’ve done it plenty of times. I don’t think any of the destinations plugin features are connected to any of the Runway features. It should be completely separate.
